What information do we collect and what do we do with it?

When you register for a course on our online portal, as part of the enrolling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, place of work, medical council number, ethnicity and email address. We may send you emails about our site and related course(s), registration, course content, your course progress or other updates. We may also use your email to inform you about changes to the course, survey you about your usage, or collect your opinion.

How did we get your consent?

When you provide us with personal information to become a learner on our site, make a purchase, or participate in the course, you imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, and/or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

Assessing and Correcting Your Information

You can review your personal information by logging into the site and visiting your customer portal. At any time you may email us at cs@raphs.org.nz to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. In some cases, we cannot delete your personal information except by also deleting your user account.

Disclosure

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms and Conditions.

ARLO

Our courses and site are hosted by ARLO Training Software. (ARLO). They provide us with the online course creation platform that allow us to generate our services for you. Your data is stored through ARLO’s data storage, databases and the general ARLO application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment

If you make a purchase on our site, we use bank deposits. Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction.

When you click on links on our course site, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

Security

To protect your personal information, we follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

Cookies

RAPHS and ARLO may collect cookies or similar information gathering technologies. This means information that our website’s server transfers to your computer. We use cookies to recognize your device and provide you with a personalized experience. Cookies can be disabled by activating the appropriate setting on your browser.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
